HAIQEEM takes the stage dressed in wear loose- fitting oversized blue and white Caltop flannel shirt, which makes him a retired west coast gang banger. His baggy jeans are a growing acknowledgment amongst the rock musicians whose taste in fashion and culture that’s ever so evolving. The long gold chain and dangling military belt is a unique fashion taste namely aesthetic of Black and Latino youth, which is clearly definitive street style for HAIQEEM who even performed part of his new upcoming track “Break up With You” in Spanish (Empezar de Nuevo).
Secondly, the performance aspect is critical during this performance. HAIQEEM performs 6 songs mostly from his upcoming album Without My Permission in a solo manner, ditching the backing band that quote “were unavailable”, with immense energy. The solo concert brought about the critical feature of music self-efficacy for performance. HAIQEEM’s perception of self-efficacy during the concert portrayed an outward expression of his ability. He’s mastered the art of solo concert performance as he used the mastery of experience to integrate various movements through observation, verbal persuasion, and physiological states, despite his strong but idiosyncratic vocal prowess there’s no one else in the industry that sounds quite like how he does. His variables through public performance caused visible performance anxiety but immense social support from the fan base- the audience is what made the show successful.
